About CERPUR

Our Story

The CERPUR CP1 was born out of the neighborhood connection between a direct-to-consumer grain farmer and a mechanical engineer. Walter Neuper, an arable farmer and direct marketer, wanted to freshly clean the weekly required amount of food-grade grain for his customers. Pest control and cooling were easier in the silo than in bagged goods. He marketed spelt, wheat, rye, oats, emmer, einkorn, brown millet, corn, soy, sunflowers, and all kinds of specialty crops—mostly in quantities of 100 to 1,000 kg per week. There was no suitable grain cleaning machine on the market for this specific need.

His neighbor David Rothbauer, an experienced mechanical engineer, developed a specialized machine tailored exactly to this demand. The development goals were affordable sieve sets, a compact design, easy sieve replacement, quick and simple adjustment for different crops, and of course - an attractive price.

It quickly became clear that there was a market for small grain cleaning machines - and the custom development turned into a business idea. In 2017, Walter Neuper and David Rothbauer founded Neuper & Rothbauer Maschinenbau GmbH. The CERPUR grain cleaning systems are manufactured in their own production facility in Mogersdorf (Austria). From the sheet metal to the final assembly - everything is managed in-house.
